Donate

A general donation for purchasing food and general/administrative expenses is always a welcome gift. Please make checks payable to VCFP and send to Verona Community Food Pantry, P. O. Box 187, Verona, VA 24482.

Food items can always be dropped off at the Food Pantry during normal business hours at our distribution center address.

We do send out receipts for in-kind donations as well as financial donations in a timely manner. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

IN MEMORY/IN HONOR OF Donations are a wonderful way to honor a loved one. As people get older and don’t want as much “stuff”, it is a loving gesture to honor them with a donation to an organization that helps others.

KROGER: What a simple and FREE way to help out the Pantry! If you have a Kroger Plus card, you can designate a portion of each purchase to be donated to us through Community Awards. Just log into your account, click on Community Rewards, Find your organizations and you will quickly find us if you search on “Verona”. Press Enroll and you will NOT be charged extra, but we will receive a small percentage of every dollar you spend to buy the foods we need! Thank you!

AMAZON: Amazon Smile program will also donate a portion of each purchase to the Food Pantry when you sign in through Smile.Amazon.com each time you make a purchase. It’s simple. It’s free. Sign up ONE TIME and Select the Verona Community Food Pantry as your charity. Last year Amazon donated forty-six million dollars to non-profits! And every penny helps!

Volunteer: If you live in the SAW (Staunton/Augusta/Waynesboro) area of Virginia, we would welcome you as a volunteer. We need 20 volunteers every day. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Cecil Wright or Ike Moore at 540-430-2844.

Underwrite an Expense: Contact us about underwriting one of our major annual expenses. Call 540-430-2844 and talk to our President, Cecil Wright. We will also work with you on gifts from IRAs, securities and investments, stocks and securities, or naming VCFP as a beneficiary in a will, trust, insurance policy, or retirement plan.

The Verona Community Food Pantry is an independent all volunteer 501c3 corporation. Therefore all gifts and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. All gifts will be acknowledged in writing.
